A thought...

So lately I've been hearing more and more about racism and religious intolerance. I'm not sure if it's because of where I live. Mississippi ftl. Anyway, people seem to get really upset when someone else doesn't agree with their way of thinking, or because their skin color is different, or even because they may have a different religious belief. I just can't understand this. I mean if you take away skin color, all humans are the same. Why do we insist on hating one another because of slight differences? Is that what makes us human? Or is it the reason we have yet to find true peace?
